What we store
If you create an account: your email address, your app settings, and the bets you log in the tracker. That's the list. If you use The Breakdown without signing in, your tracked bets live only in your own browser's storage and never reach our servers.
Who processes it
We run on a small set of services, and your data touches only these:
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in — your account, settings, and tracked bets live there.
- Brevo delivers account emails (sign-up confirmations, magic links, password resets).
- Vercel hosts the site and serves every page. Vercel Analytics also counts page views for us — see below.
The odds data itself comes from a sports-odds API that never sees anything about you — requests for odds carry no user information.
Page-view counting
We use Vercel Analytics to count how many people read each page. For every page view it records the page address, the site you arrived from, your approximate country, and your device type — a phone or a laptop, and which browser.
It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address, and cannot follow you to other websites. Visitors are counted using a scrambled value that is thrown away and regenerated daily, so we cannot tell that today's reader is the same person as yesterday's, and we can never tie a page view to your account.
We use it to learn which stories get read. That is the whole purpose.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't run ad trackers. We don't share your email with anyone beyond the processors above. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in.
Deleting your data
Delete your account any time from the Profile tab — it removes your account, settings, and cloud-stored bets. Bets kept in your browser's local storage are yours to clear like any site data.
